ABOUT TRIPLETTE:
Triplette’s Rebecca Fox, Heather Simms, and Laura Grey have been performing together for 8 years – ever since they started an improv comedy troupe in college! Since then, they have performed at and toured with some of the country’s most reputable comedy institutions including: The Second City, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, ComedySportz and iO Chicago (formerly Improv Olympic). All three women are established actresses on Chicago stages, with backgrounds in a bunch of pretentious stuff like mime, puppetry, beat poetry and Chekhov.

Since 2002 they have written, produced and starred in dozens of sketch comedy shows to audience and critical acclaim. Their eclectic, physical and thought-provoking style has been called “intelligent,” ”ferocious” and “laugh-out- loud funny.”

Rebecca met Laura and Heather at Northwestern University. Triplette has been her chief and favorite project since graduating, although she's done some of other stuff too.

Laura is an actor, improvisor, and arts educator. As the new Artistic Director of Barrel of Monkeys, Laura is constantly busy and makes childrens' lives better. She is currently in the House Theatre's production of "The Nutcracker" and has a broken car window. Prior to all this, Laura was a member of Second City's National Touring Company, appeared with Delicious Theater at the New York Fringe Festival, Redmoon Theater, Walkabout Theater, Baby Wants Candy, the avant-garde theater company DOG and lots of other fun stuff. She graduated in 2002 with a degree in creative writing from Northwestern University.

Heather has been an actor, improvisor and writer in Chicago for the last seven years and is most proud of her work over the years with Triplette. Since graduating from Northwestern University, she has become an ensemble member of ComedySportz and was a member of the critically-acclaimed show The Hot Karl for several years. Heather has also performed at iO, in the improvised musical Baby Wants Candy, with Imagination Theater doing interactive children’s theater and with Second City Theatricals. Currently, Heather is napping a lot. She works full time as a graphic designer and has a cat that makes Laura and Rebecca sneeze and itch.
